The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Software in the Public Interest, Inc. (the "Company") hereby designates Vincent Renardias to register the trademark "Debian" in France on behalf of the Company.

Following is a formal letter as needed by Vincent Renardias which will be sent to him printed:

Vincent Renardias is acting as external consultant of the Company. The Company hereby allows "Les logiciels du soleil" or one of its employees to register the Debian trademark in France in the name of the Company. The trademark will be assigned to:
