[20:01:24] we can move on and other board members can join if they're available [20:01:29] [item 3, President's Report] [20:01:29] After months of hassle, I was able to get the verification for Debian's EV SSL certificate [20:01:32] completed. I've added an agenda item discussing our telecommunications infrastructure so we [20:01:35] can hopefully alleviate the issues in the future [20:01:38] . [20:01:40] I worked with Key Bank to close down our money market account where we were earning negligible [20:01:43] interest and got the funds wired to Merrill Lynch where at least temporarily we will earn over [20:01:46] 4% interest. Once Stephen Frost and I complete the paperwork for our newest Merrill account, [20:01:49] we will implement the tiered Certificate of Deposit (CD) and investment strategy we discussed [20:01:52] with our financial advisor. [20:01:55] . [20:01:57] Continued thanks to SPI Vice President, Stephen Frost, for handling contracting [20:02:00] with SPI's contractors. Stephen continues to do a fantastic job working with our [20:02:02] contractors and legal counsel. [20:02:05] No additional regrets [20:02:05] . [20:02:07] [20:02:09] (Also: Forrest Fleming) [20:02:27] [item 4, Treasurer's Report] [20:02:27] zumbi isn't currently here. [20:02:27] . [20:02:27] The SPI treasury team is continuing to process requests and is striving for [20:02:27] more timely ticket handling. The backlog is being processed but if there are [20:02:30] any board members who would like to assist with treasury tasks, additional [20:02:32] help is always welcome. [20:02:35] . [20:02:38] [item 5, Secretary's report] [20:02:39] fsf? [20:03:11] I've sent out the conflict of interest form, so please be on the lookout. [20:08:07] [item 7, Items up for discussion] [20:08:09] [item 7.1, Change of postal mailing address] [20:08:09] Our CPA/Auditing firm suggested SPI utilize a New York State based mailing [20:08:09] address since we are nominally soliciting donations within New York State. [20:08:09] Our mail box provider had already migrated us to a new address down the street [20:08:21] from our previous address. Again, this is a leased location and subject to change [20:08:23] in the future should the lease be unable to be renewed. [20:09:02] The treasury team has already updated https://www.spi-inc.org/donations/ and is working on updating our address with vendors [20:11:04] We did vote to move to the permanent address of our mailbox provider in North Carolina so we should probably vote again to switch to the new NYC address [20:11:51] Voting started, 7 people (schultmc, fsf, fungi,zv,jconway, milan, jesusalva) allowed to vote on Change mailing address to new NYC address. - You may vote yes/no/abstain only, type !vote $yourchoice now. [20:12:36] though sad to see the address no longer be in a tiny town only i've ever been to ;) [20:12:37] whoops [20:12:41] minutes will reflect schultmc's vote despite typo there 32 [20:12:42] schultmc said !votes [20:13:00] [item 8, Any other business] [20:13:01] Anything to discuss? [20:15:03] anything else to discuss? [20:15:10] Also, The Mana World requested in board@rt.spi-inc.org to change sitting liaison and to my knowledge haven't received a reply yet [20:15:58] Hector Oron Martinez [20:15:59] is that normally just done with a gitlab mr? [20:16:16] fungi: I assume you need to edit the liaisons mailing list as well? [20:16:46] oh, likely so! i've never been on the liaison side of things and didn't realize there was a ml for that [20:16:50] I couldn't find any info about how this is done in the website, so documenting better this procedure in the future might be desirable. [20:17:09] +1 to jesusalva's comment re: documentation [20:17:21] +1 [20:17:46] [item 9, Next board meeting] [20:17:46] The next board meeting is scheduled for: April 10, 2023 at 2000 UTC. [20:17:47] Any objections? [20:17:56] Works for me [20:17:56] none here [20:17:59] no objection here [20:18:09] I am not available that date. [20:18:32] ... but do not need to change it for me [20:18:44] 4/10 date works for me [20:18:58] i'll be on an airplane, may or may not be able to make it [20:19:13] *GAVEL*
