Resolution Open64 as associated project

This resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of SPI at their meeting of April 13, 2011 and was subsequently accepted by a project representative.

Open64 had previously applied for associated project status. The Board of Directors of SPI passed resolution at their meeting of July 8, 2009 but it was not accepted by the Open64 Steering Committee within the required 60 day period.

This resolution is superseded by


  1. Open64 is a substantial and useful open source project.

  2. Open64 would like SPI's support and assistance, including taking donations.


  1. Open64 is formally invited to become an SPI Associated Project, according to the SPI Framework for Associated Projects, SPI Resolution 1998-11-16.iwj.1-amended-2004-08-10.iwj.1, a copy of which can be found at

  2. The Open64 Steering Group acting by consensus resolution is recognized as the authoritative decision maker for Open64, and Aida Rivas is recognized by SPI as the current designated liaison for Open64.

  3. This invitation will lapse, if not accepted by the Open64 Steering Group, 60 days after it is approved by the SPI Board.
